I'm going to go out on a limb here while at the same time throwing some controversy into the blog by stating that the only reason that Hillary Clinton is still in this primary is racism.
Yeah, I said it. I played the "race card." Here is how I come to such a knee jerk statement. I was in a group of people today all who were professing to have been lifelong independents or Republicans who registered as democrats for this primary for one of two reasons: They either really liked Obama or they really couldn't bear to see another Clinton in the media for months, worse yet, another Clinton in the White House, worse yet HILLARY Clinton in the White house. My response at the end of this conversation was, "so who the hell is voting for this lady then?" Answer: Old ladies and blue collar working class. It is this fact that sends me out on my limb to state that these are both demographic groups where substantial racism still exists. Believe it. In such, just as many are crossing party lines to vote for Obama, many within the Democratic party may not have any love for Hillary but only vote for her out of not wanting anything to do with having a black man represent them in the White house.
Note, I am not stating that all Hillary supporters are racists so please spare that argument but only that within her two large demographics of support, there exist substantial numbers who are racist. This is not based on speculation but on real conversations I have had with people from those demographic groups who talk to me and don't realize that I have a black wife. I realize it's a pretty controversial statement but hey, this blog is getting entirely too boring.
Go away for a while and look what I miss:
1. Blog spam gone nuts.
2. Pissed off girl finally Googles herself, finds my post and replies to my pissed off rant. http://www.keeseys.com/blog/archives/000169.html (note to self: put disallow to that page in robots.txt file. Enough free advertising for her.)
3. Every post but one moved from front page to archives.
I'm sitting at a hotel in Indy right now. I asked the girl at the desk where I could get some food that was "uniquely Indianapolis." She replies, "There is a Champps right up the street." Oye. In her defense, I suppose if you were to define "uniquely Indianapolis," perhaps Champps would be it?
Over the last month:
--Work, work, work.
--Car flipped in ditch in front of the house.
--Cleared 2 acres of woods behind the house of brush and undergrowth. (I have no idea why. I just like using the machete I suppose)
--Scaled NYC streets from Across 110th to Brooklyn and everywhere in between
--Dinner with folks from the State Department
Holla back.
